Unleashing Creativity at KBIS 2027: The Innovation Hour
Applications are officially open for the second year of the Innovation Hour at the prestigious Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). This fast-paced showcase prioritizes creativity, inviting exhibitors to step outside the conventional presentation format. With a five-minute moderated presentation on the KBIS NEXTStage, brands will be able to engage directly with an audience composed of designers, influencers, media professionals, and industry insiders.
Exciting Opportunity for Kitchen Innovators
Participating brands will present their innovations to live audiences who will vote to award recognitions in three categories: "Most Innovative," "Most Unexpected," and "I’d Spec That Tomorrow." This real-time feedback from knowledgeable audiences not only adds an engaging layer of excitement but also assists brands in understanding how their innovations resonate.
Highlighting Last Year’s Standouts
The inaugural Innovation Hour at KBIS 2026 was incredibly successful, featuring nine brands and garnering more than 200 audience votes. Notably, Caesarstone was awarded “Most Innovative” for their Caesarstone ICON, an advanced sustainable fusion surface that emphasizes environmentally friendly design. “Being recognized as ‘Most Innovative’ was a meaningful validation,” shared Nicole Miller, director of program and product strategy at Caesarstone. The innovation didn’t stop there; MAGPPIE Silverstone captured the “Most Unexpected” award for their silver-infused technical stone, which serves as a unique alternative to traditional wood cabinetry.
Additionally, LG took home the award for “I’d Spec That Tomorrow” with their LG SIGNATURE Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator, distinguished by its sleek design and innovative Zero Clearance hinges. This inclusion of high-tech kitchen gadgets demonstrates a continual shift towards more functional and stylish kitchen solutions.
